Bebe Voyage // Follow Friday
Traveling with kids can be so hard, but also so rewarding. Planning is key. If you know where to go the research phase is easy and can lead to some great finds and even new friends.
BeBe Voyage is one of my favorite pages out there. I had a chance to chat with Juliet, one of the co-founders of BeBe Voyage about what’s planned for the page and group.
Facebook Group
I found BeBe Voyage through their Facebook community. This closed Facebook group is the perfect place to ask questions about products and destinations from like minded parents. Imagine being able to talk to a parent from almost any city you are headed to and find out where they love to take their kids. I love being able to ask about playgrounds and cafes nearby tourist attractions or hotels. We’ve also gotten some fabulous recommendations for places to stay that are good with kids. It is like having a guide who knows kids in any city.
There is plenty of discussion in the group about airlines, car trips and gear. If you’re traveling for the fist time it is a great place to double check your packing list or ask those questions you’re embarrassed to ask somewhere else. You can also just search the group, as I am sure someone has asked your question before!
That community has moved online in a bit more organized fashion, which you can check out on the webpage.
Webpage
The Club BeBe webpage is new and has lots of new features popping up all the time that are quite helpful. You will need to sign up to access some of the features, but becoming a member is free. There are sections on everything from gear to destinations.
Destination Guide
There are Destination Guides for 7 big cities with more to come. These handy maps show you recommended locations. I love the map layout as many of these places are quite large and being able to see what is close is more helpful than just reading an address. These recommendations are all sourced from the BeBe Voyage community.
Itineraries
The Itineraries area is a great place to get inspired for your next trip. Check out options that are close to home and far away, all from parents who have vetted the locations they are recommending. I love perusing this section for ideas. We are currently working on a Croatia trip and the Dubrovnik itinerary has been a wonderful jumping off point. It is so much easier to start with a plan!
Events
BeBe Voyage puts together playdates and other meet ups. There haven’t been any in my area nor near where we are traveling but they have a Paris playdate coming up.
What’s Next
One of the biggest challenges currently traveling with kids is finding restaurants that have good food and are child friendly. The Bebe Voyage team is hard at work putting together a “Seal of Approval” for restaurants around the globe. In the coming months you will be able to find a list of places that meet their criteria for being baby friendly. This database will be available to members online.
Hopefully you can find some inspiration with BeBe Voyage for your next trip!
