iGo Stories Travel Books // Review
After traveling, reading is our favorite activity. We recently discovered the iGo Stories travel book series. These personalized books place your child in the middle of a traveling adventure full of famous landmarks.
My Big Little is completely obsessed with London. The “Adventures in London” book was the perfect fit for him.
You start by creating the book specific to your child. You do this on their handy site. Step one is creating the character that will be in the book. Of course, you can create any kind of character, but kiddos think it’s really fun to create a character that looks like them.
My favorite part was picking my Big Little’s outfit. He loves pink! Loves it. I was able to pick a pink shirt for his little graphic to wear in the story. It was the first thing he noticed when I gave him the book, “the little boy in the book loves pink just like me.”
Next you get to enter a bunch of information to personalize the book. These little facts pop up organically within the story. It doesn’t feel forced, like many of the 1990s personalized books felt.
If you read this blog often you know my kids are train obsessed. I was able to pick train travel for the Big Little’s transport to London. The tickets and train station signs all showed our train leaving from Delft and arriving in London!
Your story starts when your child is invited to London for Tea. Our Big Little loved that instead of just a visit he was swept into an adventure that took him all over London looking for clues. Parents who are fans of Downton Abbey will love that Highclere Castle makes an appearance in the book as well.
We all found the iGo Stories to be a fun way to travel to London from our bedroom. It’s a great addition to our book collection. I can’t wait for more cities to come out. I think each of my littles needs one of these from different cities!
