Mia Tui Jennie, Perfect Travel Bag // Review

If you’re looking for the perfect travel bag –  you know, one that is easy to carry, keeps everything you need at your fingertips and looks stylish – you need to check out the Mia Tui Jennie. I took the Mia Tui Jennie bag all around the Netherlands, Poland and Lithuania, traveling by train, car and plane and it proved to be the perfect travel bag for me.

The first thing you should know is that the Mia Tui Jennie bag is packed with features that are perfect for a mom on the go, yet it is sleek and easy to carry. While the Jennie is large, it easily fit in the front pocket of the luggage trolley at the airport. (Our bookbag and diaper bag do not fit!) An external pocket is perfectly sized for passports and a phone, so they were handy but still zipped up.

The Jennie also has a long shoulder strap that is long enough to carry it as a cross-body bag and two shorter handles for a more traditional carry.  I actually found this shoulder carry the most comfortable, even while wearing the Little Little.

An external pocket also allows it to slip over standard suitcase handles (18cm wide). I tried it with a few suitcases before we packed and found that it would not work with my XL Rolling Duffle from Lands End but otherwise worked perfectly. The wide base and deep pocket kept it from moving around. When we were on-the-go in train stations, this really freed up my arms and reduced the weight I had to carry.

The internal capacity is huge, yet the bag still slips easily under the seat in front of you in an aircraft. I was able to fit everything we needed for the flight into the bag. There are two insulated pockets for water bottles. They are installed on a diagonal to keep the bag balanced. My water bottle and the kids’ water bottle fit in these pockets easily. The insulated pockets kept our water from getting too warm.

The Jennie has a place for two pens and a pocket for your phone. The key clip is long so your keys sit down at the bottom of the bag. I also hooked my wallet to this strap, making it harder for it to be lifted from my bag. The larger side pockets fit two iPads plus my book. A clear bag with a hand strap is also included. I used this for a few liquids and gels that I carry with me, making it super easy to pull out at airport security.

My one concern was how I was going to lug this large bag around on our non travel days. I don’t really need a huge bag most days when we are out and about. Mia Tui has thought of that. The Jennie comes with a matching clutch bag with both a hand and cross body strap. I utilized this daily. It was just large enough to hold my personal items – a phone, money, sunglasses, external charger, Chapstick, a few crayons and small coloring pages. All baby related items were tossed in a small bag under the stroller.

Plus, we used the hand strap for my Big and Middle Little to hold on to while walking through the city so my hands were free to help the Little Little or take photos.

The Jennie is so versatile. On the train It squished into the smaller storage rack or easily slid under the seats for storage. I could quickly open it and see what I needed and then store it again.

The Jennie is rather large so if you are petit you may want to look at the mini Jen instead.

The Jennie comes in a variety of colors, including some neutrals. I like to have a travel bag I can spot,  so the brights are a nice option for me.

Overall we loved the Jennie and found it to be the perfect travel bag for keeping everything organized on the go. The small pull-out bag really makes it versatile for trips.

I received a MIA TUI bag for free for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
